Miller Bros Solar offers comprehensive NERC Compliance Services which includes both Generator Owner (GO) and Generator Operator (GOP) responsibilities. We are currently registered in 5 of the 6 NERC regions. MBS’ structured NERC Compliance Program Management protocols are integrated into daily operations of the Generation Facility and are focused in 3 central areas of NERC Compliance management: Real-time Operations, Operations and Maintenance of Facility assets & centralized NERC Compliance Internal Controls.
Provide full NERC compliance support on behalf of the facility as the registered Generator Owner (GO) and complete all necessary compliance actions required for the Generator Operator (GOP) Administer and maintain all activities required by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and RTO Reliability Standards for both Generator Owner (GO) and Generator Operator (GOP) registrations.
Services Include The Development And Implementation Of NERC Internal Compliance Program, Document Control, Evidence Collection And Retention, Spot Checks, Self-Reports, Preparation For New And Revised Standards, Required.
Periodic Self-Certification, Data Submittals, Mitigation Plans, Corrective Actions, Periodic Data Submittals And Request, And Response To Event-Driven Obligations.
President & Chief Executive Officer
Ryan is a co-founder and President of Miller Bros Solar. Ryan has spent over 15 years in the solar industry building numerous startups from residential to C&I EPC companies. Prior to MBS, Ryan founded Solar Utility Nexus, one of the first East Coast Operations and Maintenance companies. Ryan completed his undergraduate degree from Shippensburg University and spent three years in the NFL. He lives in Pennsylvania where he also fills the role of fourth generation cattle farmer on his family farm.
Executive Vice President Operations
Jim is the Executive Vice President of Operations for Miller Bros Solar. With more than 30 years of electric utility industry expertise, Jim manages and provides leadership on all operations, maintenance and technical activities leading to the safe, reliable power for MBS’ Utility, Commercial, Technical Services and Energy Storage divisions. Jim was previously the General Manager of the Solar O&M for NRG Renewables and Clearway Energy where he managed all operations, maintenance and technical activities on more than 20 utility scale PV Solar power plants. Prior to NRG, he was the founding manager of U.S. Power Plant Maintenance for First Solar.
Vice President of Operations
Will is the Vice President, Operations at Miller Bros Solar. With more than 15 years of electrical experience, Will manages and provides leadership for all maintenance and operations activities for Miller Bros Solar’s Utility and Distributed Energy fleet.
Director of Compliance
Kristina is the Compliance Director for Miller Bros Solar. With over 14 years of electric utility experience, Kristina is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Miller Bros Solar’s internal compliance program, which includes providing fleet support, developing and maintaining procedures, process implementations and improvements, evidence reviews and audit support. Kristina was previously the Compliance Manager at First Solar and left shortly after transitioning to NovaSource. Kristina started her career at ENOSERV, where she worked in developing & implementing software around Relay Maintenance and regularly jumped in and out of the field to perform Relay Testing.
Director of Technical Services
Johnny is the Director of Utility & Technical Services for Miller Bros. Solar, bringing a lifelong dedication to maintenance expertise, particularly in Solar and Energy Storage O&M since 2011.During his decade-long tenure at First Solar, Johnny held various leadership roles, contributing significantly to the exponential growth of utility-scale PV power plants through the implementation of scalable maintenance philosophies. In his final three years at First Solar, he served as the Senior Regional Manager overseeing 122 power plants, totaling 6GW across the US, with 15 designated as NERC assets. In 2021, Johnny assumed the role of General Manager at Tonian Solar, an O&M startup. His leadership facilitated the establishment of essential systems such as the back office, CMMS, DMS, and CRM, along with the development of a 24/7 operations center.
Senior Director of Operations
Rob is an accomplished leader with a strong safety and training background including managing cross-functional teams across the globe. Rob has over 20 years in Safety and Training with 15 years of it in the Renewable industry (Wind, Solar, & Energy Storage). Prior to joining Miller Bros Solar, Rob has held leadership roles with Vestas, Algonquin Power, EDPR and Renew Safety. During his time with these companies, he played a key role in designing and developing their world class safety programs. Rob has a strong OSHA background and currently sits on the Safety Workforce Training committee and has held past committee ad subcommittee positions with ACP and formerly AWEA including committees on LOTO Teams, Training, and as the former OSHA Chair. Rob is also a Combat Veteran with the United States Marine Corps.
