Ryan Hoffman is co-founder and President of Miller Bros Solar. Ryan has spent over ten years in the solar industry building numerous startups from residential to C&I EPC companies. Prior to MBS, Ryan founded Solar Utility Nexus, one of the first East Coast Operations and Maintenance companies. Ryan completed his undergraduate degree from Shippensburg University and spent three years in the NFL. He lives in Pennsylvania where he also fills the role of fourth generation cattle farmer on his family farm.
Ahmar Zaman is the Chief Financial Officer of Miller Bros Solar, and also leads Business Development. Previously, Ahmar led the renewable energy investment banking team at Friedman Billings and Ramsey, a full service investment bank, where he advised companies across the renewable energy spectrum on M&A, equity, and debt capital raises. Ahmar has spent over 13 years in the Solar Industry. Prior to Wall Street, Ahmar worked at Intel Corporation in various financial roles. Ahmar received his MBA from Babson College, and completed his undergraduate degree at Arizona State University.
Kara is the Vice President of Compliance at Miller Bros. Solar. Previously, Kara led the NERC CIP, Critical Infrastructure Protection enterprise wide regulatory compliance program at NRG Energy, one of the largest Independent Power Producers in North America. Prior to NRG, Kara led compliance assessments within IT Risk Advisory for the Electric Sector at Ernst & Young and also led the NERC CIP and Ops/Planning enterprise wide compliance program at the vertically integrated utility, Pepco Holdings. Inc. Kara has spent over 12 years as a compliance leader in the electric sector and over 18 years working with SCADA controls engineering processes and industrial controls systems. Kara received her B.S. Engineering from Drexel University and is completing her MBA at University of Delaware.
Caitlin Blaisdell-Buck is Director of Asset Management at Miller Bros Solar. She comes to MBS with nearly a decade of experience working in the renewable energy industry. Caitlin and Miller Bros Solar are embarking on a new expansion of services to include a full wrap of asset management services to its already impressive suite of operations, maintenance, and electrical services. Prior to Miller Bros Solar, she worked with leading solar racking manufacturers and helped to build out a third party asset management company managing 10+ GW of renewable energy assets. She holds a M.S. in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University and a B.A. in Peace, War & Defense from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In her spare time, she enjoys the great outdoors, hiking the Rockies with her pup, and playing Gaelic hurling.
Jim Johnston is the Director of Utility Services for Miller Bros Solar. In this role, he manages and provides leadership on all operations, maintenance and technical activities leading to the safe and reliable power generation within the utility scale PV Solar power plants division. Jim brings more than 25 years of electric utility industry expertise to his position at Miller Bros Solar. He was previously the General Manager of Solar O&M for NRG and Clearway Energy. In this role, he managed all operations, maintenance and technical activities on more than 25 utility scale PV Solar power plants with a capacity of 1,500 MWs. Prior to NRG, he was the founding manager of U.S. Power Plant Maintenance for First Solar.
As the Director for DG Operations for Miller Bros Solar, Christopher West oversees a team of Portfolio Managers, field technicians, and other support staff to effectively manage the safe operations of multiple DG Projects across the US. In previous roles, Chris managed construction activities for Projects >20MWDC, solar retrofit upgrades, and O&M contracted services. He was also in charge of leading a team of field staff in North America, performing QA/QC and final commissioning for over 200 Projects totaling over 300MW. Chris joined the solar industry in 2007, and has 30 years’ experience in various segments of the electrical industry, several journeyman certifications, and a Master Electrical license.
CJ Kneringer is the Director of Inverter & Technical Services for Miller Bros Solar. In this role, he manages and provides leadership across inverter service and technical operations, leading to safe and reliable power generation of PV sites under our management. CJ brings more than 10 years of electrical industry expertise to his position at Miller Bros Solar. Previously, he worked with AMEC Foster Wheeler where his experience included installation, commissioning, field engineering and O&M services. Prior to AMEC, he was with MMR Constructors installing and commissioning medium voltage electrical and I&C on cryogenic power plants and compressor stations for the natural gas industry.
